not this one. absolute shocker! sounds awesome, but is dangerous, unhygenic, overcrowded and generally terrible!!!

Stopped at Whitby holiday park once, walking distance from the town and a beach. Not the best place but ok for the kids

Robin hood's Bay, two very good sites, one all the kid's playground stuff and an easy walk to the village through the woods is Middlewood Farm.
Or a bit more basic, but in my view nicer and quieter with better views is
http://www.hookshousefarm.holidaylovers.co.uk/ A bit more of a walk into the village but a really pleasant site
Hourly busses from Bay to Whitby & Scarborough in the summer too, saves a lot of hassle parking
It would be worth checking availability before you set off for both of these though during school holidays...

Got to agree. Hope to be there next Monday or Tuesday. Need to book, esp for hook up. Middlewood is OK but I walked through cow field (as recommended by owners) and the bleeding cows chased me!! There's a site which is supposed to be good on the Scarboro to Whitby Road, can't remember it's name. It's at back of a cafe and down a dip. It's on your right a couple of miles from Fylingthorpe turn off travelling from Whitby to Scarbro'. Sure someone knows the site. Another in Whitby which is quite small but OK ish is behind the Abbey, again I can't remember the name of it.
Not much use eh? Have a good trip!
