I asked the same thing a few weeks back. I ended up using cillit bang and a dish washing brush thing. Not perfect but made a huge difference after a couple of cleans. Reckon if i give another go they will look almost new. Mine had a good 20yrs worth of dirt so took a bit of elbow grease. I ended up taking out so i could keep rising with the hose

£1shop tyre black apparantly, also I know that VW dash/interior cleaner works well but it's expensive, about a tenner same as best stuff in motor factors

Lazy method, wash it, let it dry in the Sun, have a cuppa and then spray it with a can of Silk Black, use whats left in the can for your grille............ :D

Shoe polish (the old fashioned stuff in a tin, not the tube/sponge/squeeze job)

After jet washing, I used black trim wax. It says not not to use it on mats etc. But if you buff it out enough, it's fine. It came up right lovely.

would tyre black/shoe polish etc not come off on your clothes/shoes??
