Alternator Charging Rate

Very quick one, wanted to check my alternators charge rate today but cannot remember what it should be showing on the multi meter if its ok or not ;) can anyone let me know as it doesnt seem to be charging the battery when it runs its just on drain mode... Its a new battery as well :(

According to the book, Bosch alternators regulate voltage between 13.9 and 14.2 volts OFF idle...so say 2,000rpm.
So it you are seeing any less than 13.5 volts across the battery check your split charge circuit and if that is OK the alternator needs a new regulator/bush pack, about a tenner.Do a search on regulator/bush pack, I don't know how many times I've found and posted the link.
