Fitted up a new master cyllinder today from GSF as mine was weeping from the servo seal. I'd also replaced all the brake lines with exception of the original front two from the MS, also the tee unions and the rear wheel cylinders... I know cant seem to get the brakes to work right!!!

Ive bleed them the ol fashion way with the up and down thing with someone in the cab and it works a real treat (as usual) but it seems that im forever having to pump the breaks up to get them to work they then go rock hard after 5 or 6 pumps stop for a few seconds and then its straight back to the floor again???

Its got me totally baffled unfortunatly ive only been able to bleed from the rear wheels as the front nipples are totally knackered and i fear will shear totally off if i try to hard on them...

Could it be i still need to bleed them from the front and the airs making its way back up? or is the servo knackered also??

just so you know the brakes have never worked since ive owned it as the pipes had just desinigrated, oh and the calipers where from my other old bus which were it much better condition than the originals...

real desperate now had to move the mot until miday today (friday) from yesterday 3pm slot as i cant get this right...

Sounds like you still have air in them and to be honest, you are never going to get them right unless you can bleed the front brakes as well.
Somehow you are just gonna have to bleed those fronts even if it mean bodging it by slackening the flexi brake pipe union to bleed them from there instead. Not ideal but at least you stand a chance.
Also use the technique of locking the union off each time the foot pedal is pushed to the floor, then allow the person in the car to release the pedal, then slacken the union again..pedal down...soon so forth. This minimizes the effect of the air going back and forth.

ok thats sounds a good idea i have however had to install a bleed nipple in the master cylinder as it had to many outlets and im sure the one ive blanked up in another front one. Is it worth bleeding it from there?? will that make any difference???

Check your rear brakes are manually adjusted.

i had to do that to a master i got off ebay...im sure it was a gsf account...put the nipple in and tightend it up and had no probs with the bleeding...my bleed nipples were rotted on both my calipers and i drilled them out and retapped the threads and fitted slightly bigger nipples ....but im not sure if you could get away with reverse bleeding on them..might be worth a go
