flashing red oil light and buzzer

van has started getting flashing red light and annoying buzzer. does it when it feels like it then stops, and starts again. new to t25s so advice on how to sort this would be much appreciated. oil is topped up correct. thanx

Its not good news !! its possible it could be a faulty pressure switch or electrical fault ,But when it happened to me it was new engine time :(
I'm sure some of the others on here will tell you what to check for in the meantime tell them what engine it is what year it is and put your location on your profile :D

thats not good news, heres hoping its faulty switch. 1985 1.9 and located somerset

If its intermittent and engine sounds healthy check the wire at the high oil pressure switch. The high oil pressure switch wire may have come adrift or has poor connection.

get a new switch from Brickwerks then
Try an oil change to 20/50 mineral
that'll tell you if its oil pump renewal time

i had the same problem,mine was slight damp and corrosion on the main multi conector that feeds all the electrics in the dash. the light and the buzzer conections are next to each other,i think it waspositions 5 and 6, i cleaned them up and have not had a prob since
