BARGAIN CORNISH CAMPSITE

Last week we travelled part of the North Cornwall coast and stumbled across a brilliant camp site at Bedruthan Steps, just east of Mawgan Porth. It is only open July and August and basically is a large field with one ladies and one gents toilet and one shower but they were clean and the shower was warm. There was running water, only thing lacking was electric hook up but who needs it! Open fires were encouraged and the site owner sold fire wood. While we were in this huge field there was no more than 10 other units on site. There is no phone number or website for the site and no bookings taken, there is literally acres of room, even in the kids holidays as it was last week.
It cost £6 each per night of which £1 of that was donated to the Air Ambulance Fund.
Proper camping !

This is the view from our bus, note the lovely roaring fire :D

A 50 yard walk from the field is the cliff tops with a beach that is only accessible at low tide but it is a spectacular view

We will definately be going back!

Bedruthan Steps... one of the most spectacular spots on the North Cornish coast! if you have not visited then do... the rocks are even more spectacular from the beach which is accessible at low tide down the famous 'steps' ....Watch for the tides turn though.
Gunslinger you have given the game away... it was a well kept secret... now everybody will want to go to this campsite! :D

Looks fabulous and thanks for sharing the secret!

Hardly as tho you've broadcast it across the nation and surely it'd be nice to find another 80-90 member there now we all know about it!

Nice one Stu.
