Rough valuation of my van?

I have seen another car I quite fancy & my need to sell my Syncro. (I might well keep it as it was great at Bug Jam in the mud)!

What do you reckon it's worth?

1987 RHD twin slider. 1900 petrol 14". Paint looks ok, but it has had a dodgy repaint so isn't great. I have had the NSR wheel arch replaced as well as cab steps. There are a few other bits of welding done too.
It runs & drives fine, stainless syncro exhaust,, has big mirrors, square lamps, projectz two spot lights. There is a multivan rock n roll bed in the back & a rev counter dash. Long tax & MOT. Wheels are T4 with 195x15 tyres. Tyres are noisy as hell on the road, so will need a spare set, (I am looking for merc steels if anyone has them)?

It has 2 diff locks that I haven't tested, all the prop etc seems fine & the VC is all good.

I'm afraid it's not really worth anything.

Will you take a cheque :ok or should I bring (no) cash  ?

Ok, I haven't a clue, it's worth what you can get for it

This is my 3rd Syncro, so I have rough idea.

It's always nice to get other opinions.

The more I think about it, the more I think I should keep it. I have just taken a deposit on my Bay window (or Hover craft as it's know on here) & have been offered a once in a life time splitty.

I am just not sure weather to do it or not.

Go for the splitty if that's what you like. £3 - 4K, would be fair? What so special about splitty? How much is it? They can be stupid money!!

£3k to £3.5k would be about it. With a mix n match interior it wouldn't be much more. Twin slider is quite rare though.

I think the only splitty I'd consider giving up my syncro for would be a RHD Barndoor Samba.......maybe. :D

:D Yeah but then it'll be worth so much that it becomes a burden.
I once had a lovely bay, it was stunning, most expensive vehicle I've ever owned, but you become worried/scared to use it. hence me moving to T3's. :ok

I kick the a*** out of my bay when I drive it!

I know what you are saying. I took the Syncro to Bug Jam as the weather was bad & left the bay at home.

I have a buyer for the bay, so am in a position to buy the split. I am just unsure as which way to jump.

The Syncro does just about everything you would want in a van for little money. The split looks cool, but is the opposite!

As an ex bay driver;; at the time I didn't know any better - early 80s and it cost me £400 with a years t&t
My sycro is a different matter ( I can't afford to sell it..)

Yours should be worth between 3.5k & 5k A very big margin I Know, but I'm sure you do too...

No vehicle is worth anymore then someone will pay for it, and you're selling to a specialised market. This time last year I could have raised the money for it but not this year - just been shat on by my bank of a long time....

Good luck with however it pans out... A splitty is always going to be a long term investment & not half as "daily driveable" as a T3 but hope it works out well for you
:ok

I have a T4 for a daily & work, plus use of a Lupo TDi sport, so these are just toys.

The Bay will be going in a week or so, then I need to decide, Splitty or Syncro.

I drove the Syncro the other day in the rain over some speed humps & thought to myself, I am glad I am not in a split! Plus the Syncro is a quarter of the price!

Maybe I will just flip a coin or roll some dice. Lately all me decisions have been made for me by people buying a car, then I just keep what's left! - Simple.
