I take it it's got a decoupler? Three knobs!

To the best of my knowledge the diff locks and decoupler were cable
operated on the fore runners and a select few of the first production
modles.

yes the prototype had a decoupler. The first were operated per cable.

Check the wheel arches, look like they are cut out like 16" ones.
also, interestingly it's badged up as a "BUS" I thought they dies out in '83 ish, was it kicking around that long?
And where id that tank filler come from, thats Fugly!

Thanks amigo Christoph!

I can see in that "proto" they used the diff locks lights from a Mercedes Benz Gelandewagen series... interesting...

And that bus had the spare wheel carrier installed, or at least that things next to the left rear lights is the lock of it and in the side panel looks like holes from the hinges of it...

One thing more, I don't like to see when somebody paints the car, the door rubbers painted!!

Thx again for the pics Christoph!

I wonder how many other G Wagon bits are on it? Not a surprise really, Steyr Puch do the G Wagon too and it's better than having Fiat 500 parts on it :?

I always thought the engine in your bus made a funny noise, Euan.... now I guess we know why....

it's better than having Fiat 500 parts on it
