LPG Fual Consumption

I have a 1.9 petrol 1989 Autosleeper high top and I am only getting about 140 - 150 miles on a 45 litre tank of LPG (lots of short runs admittedly) but that seems awfully bad to me.... as It works out at just over 3 miles a litre! What are you guys getting?

I have tried fiddling around with the adjuster but what ever I do it doesn't seem to affect fual consumption by that much.

Thanks Sandringham

Hi
this should have been in the LPG forum really, but, anyhow, that works out to 13.62 miles per gallon, which is a bit low. Where are you filling up? (sounds like supermarket mpg to me? ) bp or shell will get you better mpg if it is morrisons you are using.......

also, when was the last time you did a decent distance run?

try winding the powervalve out (To give more power) because if its too weak it will use more due to you right footingit to keep with the traffic flow...

how many does it return on petrol?
how does the power compair to petrol?

set it back to default (2.5 turns out from fully in) after making note of how many turns out it is now and start from there....

I too had this
and did more or less what steve suggests

set it back to default (2.5 turns out from fully in) after making note of how many turns out it is now and start from there....

then went out more.. an eighth of a turn

I went from 15 mpg to 24 mpg.
