30 mbar and 50 mbar refers to the feed pressure of your gas supply. You will need to insure for a new install that your regulator supplies a suitable pressure for the fridge to cope with or alternatively buy the right fridge to suit your existing regulator.
Heh, spotted. The reason I have to chuck mine out when it's on gas is that I haven't permanently installed it with drop holes, ventilation and a flue. It's designed for this use though, or rather my ones are, that looks more like a "proper" fridge for permanent installing!!

Thanks for the replies, at the moment i have a 12v cooler and gas for the cooker is taken from a blue(butane i think) bottle, how do i find out the pressure of my existing supply? and is it possible to fit one in and run it inside if it is vented correctly?

Shepster, if that is what I think it is then it is mainly meant to be fitted inside with proper vents and flues.
Checking the pressure of your existing system should be as easy as reading the top of your regulator, the flying saucer shaped thing connected to the top of the gas bottle or first thing you find as you trace the pipe from the bottle to the cooker.
In simple terms the fitting should include some kind of bund to stop any leakage spreading accross the whole floor of the van, a hole to let it fall out through the floor within the bund, adequate spacing to let air flow to the flame, a flue that flows upward all the way to the outside world (that is the little square or round thing you see on the side of most campers) and some kind of provision for air to flow upward accross the cooling fins at the back of the fridge (often this is provided by the two letter box sized openings you also see on many vans but some vans rely on an air gap under the fridge and some vents at the top/back all inside the van. It's probably adequate for the UK but your fridge wont be very fridgy in the south of France if this is all you have! )
In theory any new install should be carried out by some kind of registered installer and conform to the EU regulations. In practice I would look to read the regs if you can and be safe!!

Thanks Horza, it certainly looks very tempting for that price.I do only camp in the UK so would possibly do me on that front, i'm having my van gassed soon by Steve so i might run it past him as to the safety/fitting.
