Wheel Changing

Now I'm sure this has been covered before but after my experience recently I thought I would just highlight what an absolute pig the wheel bolts on our beloved T25's are to 'crack' and get loosened. With my trusty 4 way wheel nut spanner I managed to - cut my thumb, bruise my hand, crack the pavement where I threw aforementioned wheel spanner in a huff, taught the neighbours kids a few choice phrases, nearly break my foot kicking the wheel...the list is endless and doesn't include the utter humiliation of facing her indoors wetting herself at my 'antics'

Solution - Wilkinsons sells a telescopic wheel wrench thingy for about £4. IMHO the best £4 you'll ever spend..especially with a flat on a cold and lonely B road somewhere.
Hope this is useful
Cheers

taught the neighbours kids a few choice phrases,
did they refer to the build quality of the vehicle, or call into question the knowledge of the bloke who designed it at all?
Yep...I have a huffy hubby too!!!
cheers for making me giggle, and shall be purchasing one of dem dare thingies this weekend!

Hita Emma....well, it was a pretty extensive rant if i remember rightly- starting at the designers of both wheel nuts and 4 way wrenches going up through the hierarchy of Kwik Fit and their bleedin hydraulic torquey tighty things and then I may have thrown in a few threats to the big man above at which point I ran indoors when the forked lightning started
Quite a lesson for the kids eh !!!

Heh, having fallen on my backside 5 times in a row at the side of the M62 with a fourway wheel brace I "invested" in one of these extendable ones. It's a great boon. I broke it the other day by over extending it but as it happens the handle end fits over the ratchet or bar in my socket st for applying extra torque there too.
