We stayed at Durdle Door back in March, (2 inches of snow on the ground) the site is ok, pub/club on site, reasonable priced food. Best pitches are on Sea View section, electric hookup but slope is steep, (every pitch has slope here) deffo need leveling chocks, exposed so can be windy but the view is good. Prices gone silly now as schools breaking for holidays. There are a few wild camping spots in the Wareham forest and they are free free free. Google earth N 50° 44'11.57" W 2° 10'32.32" I know a couple of people stayed without problem, not being moved that is, as they are forest car parks. Lots along this road also and around the forest.
Another is Rowlands Wait at Bere Regis nr Wareham phone number 01929 472727

there is another wild camping spot overlooking Durdle Door Site at N 50° 38' 00.82" W 2° 15' 01.12" there was room for acouple of vans here but some work was being done (I was there 3 months ago at work on site) work finished now. Access via Winfrith Drove, opposite Lulworth Camp, gravel drive, think it is a vehicular right of way but can't remember. Farm track also but van will make it easy as not rutted. Lovely view as 130 M above sea level. Not much further west but close too Lulworth. I will be working in the Weymouth area for a few weeks, intermitantly over the summer so will check out the area for future wild camping. I get to some quite out of the way places, and can check out if it would fit the cause
