Anyone aware of one that can be used on a post 86 1.9DG as an alternative to the paper one?

Will talk to you about air filters at Apps.

You might find the duramax-diesel filter test interesting. Second link is homebrew filter test.

Thanks Lloyd will have a read through them. I noticed that, after the LPG mixer was fitted, the mpg on petrol went down and possibly due to the airflow into the venturis being disturbed or reduced. Last week (on petrol) the DG suddenly became more responsive to the throttle and accelerated far quicker. Opening the hatch I discovered the oil breather had detached from the top hat on the pierburg. Re-connected it and back to normal so I am left wondering if the solution is to increase the airflow to offset any restrictions caused by the lpg mixer. Alternatively it may be running rich due to aging of the carb but the mpg is around 23-25 with the mixer installed. Not a choke problem as it is manual not auto and I do run mine on petrol for at least 10% of the time (even though there is no need to). The only other thought is that I am running with the advance set to around 8/10 degrees and that a leaner mixture suits this timing.
