brakes

sorry guys you prob been asked this loadsa times but,,, i had to change my clutch slave as it was leaking, got that sorted, went to move the van, it went well. but stoping was an issue :oops: ,,, so i fort id bleed my brakes, well can you beleive that i can only see 3 bleed nipples (2xfront + 1xrear os) god knows where the other one is ??? but my main issue is (other then the missing one) i cant get none of them undone :evil: :evil: ,,, i used about half a can of wd40 on each of the 3 nipples but no budge :cry: :cry: , any ideas on how i can sort this would be great.

If they've been there donkeys years theres every chance they will snap off but as a rule of thumb I always start them loose with mole grips and THEN use a 7mm spanner. That often saves them. If not you'll either have to bleed via a flexi-hose (can be done amazingly) or replace cylinders. To be honest I'll generally buy new cylinders if the nipples break up but if you get stuck you may be able to bleed by loosening a flexi hose enough. Worked for me in the past when I've been stuck.

Thats an option but usually they snap off and remaining bit refuses to budge. Just fit new cylinders (think thats what Kev meant). I have in the past used TINY trace of copperslip on nipple threads but VERY sparingly as you don't want it in brake lines and in seals.
