Didn't think the chunnel allowed LPG ??
You could put the fridge on ,failing that has your tank got the BBq take off valve ? you could vent it off via that but it would have to be in a very well ventilated area

Yup....read the lower part of the link...
Basically transporting bottles or having an LPG powered vehicle is not allowed BUT having an LPG tank powering domestic appliances IS allowed as long as it's quantity is below 47Kg and the container is less than 80% full....that's how I read it.
Just turn your fridge on for 2 weeks, that will take it down the 15%
You could use the BBQ take off point (if you have one?) to vent off but you would need an adapter (best pipe it several metres away from the van as well if you choose this method)

if you do use the bbq take off , be bloody careful ,and like R/W has said use a long piece of tubing and a long way from the van or anything flammable ,
or fill balloons with it and then you can have some fun later on

Hi, been through the the Tunnel several times in our Westy. They only checked that the Lpg was turned off at the tank. On one occasion, just told the guy I had already turned it off and he said "fine have a good trip" I think there is a lot of confusion over the use of Lpg, you can not use the tunnel if your vehicle is powered by Lpg, you can not use certain tunnels in France if your vehicle is powered by Lpg. But if you cook with it then no problem, seems daft to me, after all it is still Lpg.

Just disconnect the regulator and turn it on. Make sure your well away from any flames and it will be downt to 80% in seconds.

Like I said...be bloomin careful....my advice is IF you have to, vent away from the van, be aware that the auto ignition on the bridge will start clicking if set to gas, so you run a risk of explosion if any LPG has leaked into the van.
The fridge will be enough! I'm sure.

after a week of leaving the fridge on and making copious cups of tea the gauge still read 95% - until i tapped it with a spanner and it went down to 80%. Job done! the only thing i dont understand is that it says in the handbook there is a safety valve not allowing it to fill over 80% anyway....
still, france here we come!
