Hi, 2 questions ive been thinking for a while,

1) When the original camper vans (not panel vans) where being made and converted etc, what type of curtain rail did they use if any? I only ask because theres a photo a couple of posts before this and that guy has his curtain rail the same as mine and it constantly snags, it always looks like it could be fit better and was wondering if they where fit better originally. Its been a boring hungover day after glastonbury to explain my thought pattern!

2) Which are the best type of curtain hooks to use with the gliss rail? Seems like however the curtains are closed one or two hooks come away from the loops on the rail, just wondering if there where any curtain hooks that "snapped" into place? (like i say very boring day!)

Did you mean my curtain rail? I haven't had a problem with snagging or gliders coming out so maybe it's a problem with the gliders?
Mine have a square end that slides into the groove of the rail and can only be removed by sliding it off the end (does that make sense?)

Yea was yours! Ours really snags alot, ive even loaded the rail with 3 in 1 oil and it still snags! Will have to look into it, i didnt do the job and dont really like how the guy before me did it.

Try rubbing furniture polish into the track, the tinned variety.

Thanks Dianne, never heard that before like the beeswax stuff? is this better than grease then?

Horses for courses, you wouldn't want to be lubricating your wheel bearings with wax furniture polish but then you wouldn't want to be lubeing curtain rails with grease either.
Silicon spray works very well on curtain rails but a wax furniture spray polish is easier and cheaper to get hold of.
It works very well but will need doing 2-3 times a year.
