Oil Pressure Switches

I have a 1990 1.6td camper and i having the usual buzzer of doom problems. As a precaution I want to replace both pressure switches...one on the cylinder head with a blue/back wire and the other on the oil filter housing with a yellow wire......Where do I get these switches? (brickwerks don,t list them) and JK have many at different ratings for pressure?????? which one?? Can anyone help...Ta Mark :?

iirc the cylinder head one is the blue one.not sure about the other.check the colour of your old ones before ordering new.

Ta Rob both switches are black in colour...just wondering the best place to get them??? Mark

VW they are different colours
blue at the head and another colour at the oil filter

If they are both black, that maybe your problem.
Thanks for the reminder to put the switches on the website, i do have them, just not on the site, seems like thats tomorrows job!

Switches now uploaded, loads of info t=on the site for you, just search for "oil pressure" using the site search, or if you know the OE numbers use those as the search will pick them up.

Ta Simon , I may be being dumb hear but as I said both my pressure switches are black in colour..I believe the one on the head with the blue wire should be blue...fine.But the one on the oilfilter with the yellow wire, what colour sould it be for a 1.6td engine??? white , grey ,black??? Yes I see that, but simon also lists a grey switch and a black switch all for use with the "yellow" wire DOP How did you find out it is the 1.8 bar pessure switch as oposed to the 1.4 bar or 0.9 bar switch. Mark

You normally just replace what comes off, trouble is A) idiots have been at it and just fitted a switch thinking that all switches are all the same or B) some aftermarket brands don't use the colour coding system, which make an a*** of it all.

Grey and black are both listed for your engine.
grey less likely to scare you!
