Can anyone tell me does the temp of the water have a direct affect on the oil temp

Tell us what the problem is .Only asking becouse i never had any issues with buzzer or water temps with VW diesel engines in good mechanical condition.Never needed a extra oil cooler with a standard tuned 1.6/1.6td/1.9n/1.9td.
