Hi All,
In the process of removing water pump. Getting there slowly!!!! Managed to remove the thermostat housing and pully wheel. got to be very patient and armed with Coke a cola, plus gas etc!!
Anyways, Noticed a big tear on the Air intake trunking. Any one know where I can get hold of another? Tried JK, Brickwerks, Volkspares. Please let us no. Cheers

Thanks Em,
Unfortunately it's not the paper one. It's the big rubber one that goes from the Air filter to the top of the carb. I'll go and take a picture.
Cheers

Ahh - know the one you mean now. Is yours really buggered? If you took it off and put some sealant in? Silicone etc do yo think that would work? Had a tear in mine, but luckily had a spare....wondered about sealing it, though.

Hi Kathy,
I have just logged on to vagcat....and I think the part you need is 025129627A rubber hose. From your picture, the airbox is clearly part coded....and this is the code that goes with that rubber hose - the air box is DF according to Vagcat if I am reading it right. Vagcat still list a part number, so it may still be available from Vw!
Hope this helps - and thanks for the picture, that helped.
If you get 10 mins, goto
http://www.vagcat.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and register...its free and allows you to look at and search for part numbers. Our vans are listed as T2
