Looking for an engine bay wiring diagram/photo...

Just fitted a replacement 1.9 DG in my '85 caravelle. The previous owners removed the original engine, and I didn't remove the replacement engine from the donor van, so i'm not entirely sure where all the wires lead to and from in the engine bay... And the haynes manual is just confusing me...

Is there anyone with a photo or who can explain which wires go where? :) Can't find anything in the wiki that covers it.

The van is turning over fine, and i've got spark, but it wont fire... And also i suspect the timing may need adjustment... would i time it as i would an Aircooled engine?

Any advice greatly appreciated, thanks! :)

Matt

The haynes manual tells you about timing... are you getting fuel? are the leads on in the correct order??

what wires are not connected as there are very few and only 2 should stop it from running.... feed to coil (which you say is working) and feed to the cut off solenoid on the carb....

Thanks for the help :) got it running now :D

BUT, i'm not sure i have the 'other' wires wired up properly... The wire coming up from under the engine (thermostat of some sort?) and the two wires that go onto the temperature sensor on the inlet manifold coolant pipe bit...

anyone shed any light for me? :)

Thanks!

Oil pressure - great, any idea what colour wire it's meant to connect to?

And the wires for the temperature switch in the inlet manifold cooling bit? :)
