Does anyone use one of those rear view lenses that stick on the back window?
Do they help? Am finding the reverse park a bit of a chore!

You're not alone on that one. Driven the caravelle for three years and a crewcab before that and STILL can't judge exactly how close I am. More use is winding down window and looking down the side of the van. You think you're inches away and you're at least four foot.
I think it might be better idea to fit reversing sensor kit (cheap really), or a tail camera.

i have one in my back window, they do work, but mine is a little less usefulll because of the bike rack....
any commercial truck accessory shop will stock them, most HGV's have them on the passenger side door glass.
i suggest that if you cant judge the distance using your mirrors, you check to see if you have "perscription" magnifying mirror glasses (convex?) or proper flat glass ones. The cheapo GSF ones are crap, and very misleading.
reversing cameras are useless in helping you judge distance, and mostly useless in every onther way too unless you like looking at following cars numberplates for some odd reason...
perhaps employ a "ethel" to get out and wave her hand in your blind spot when parking?
