Hi all, Having just got back from the lakes, thought I would run this by everyone to see if there is a solution to my problem out there!! Firstly, I have a wasser boxer 1.9 in my transporter an having had a good service before I left, the engine runs fine, but as soon as I stop in traffic/junction it won't idle an just cuts out! I know that it will start immediately when I turn the key. Anyone know of any reasons or had this problem themselves, its had new plug an leads within the last week but this still happens. Thanking you ta

Pierburg 2e3 or 2e4?
by-pass cut off valve.
there is a valve that interupts the idle mixture circuit that is electronically operated.
check the wiring harness to the carburettor.

vac pipe leaking? (Commonly knocked off during plug and lead changes)
inlet manifold gasket leak?
Fuel filter blockage
choke not going off?
blocked air intake?
