I think I'm getting a stiffy ...

...or a rather tight VC, to be correct.

Lately I'm under the impression that my VC is getting progressively harder, but I'm not quite sure yet, need to investigate further.

Now I'm wondering, if I were to get a new one ...would anyone (with selectable 4WD) be interested in getting my old VC, which could now possibly be called a "sports VC" ?

Or would I be better off to use it in exchange for a refurb?

I think I'd rather buy new than refurb ...but that's expensive ...selling off the old VC is a possible option to recoup some money ...but would anyone buy a VC with unkown properties that my just tighten up completely at any time?

Opinions?

Or spew all the sylicon out into your diff oil(not very nice) and consequintly slip.
Unfortunately a stiff old VC is not a sports VC and never will be.
There is nothing wrong with a recon but if you have the money :D

Are you going to get one from VW then? Is that the only place for new VC's? IIRC, Are they about £1200?

Busschmiede: http://www.busschmiede.de/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Visco neu, Orginal VW, ohne Altteilrückgabe inklusive Versand innerhalb Deutschlands Preis: 778,-
That's new ...including freight within Germany, so maybe add € 50 to IRL/GB

Bernd Jaeger advertises it for € 745,--

Well, I got my recon one from our Aidan before Christmas for about £450. CJ fitted it and it works great.

Perhaps he'll be popping in shortly or maybe PM him?

Eric.
