Syncro Newbie Looking for stuff!

Just found my nearly dream bus after 3 years of searching. Brought a 14in Syncro with DJ and Carthago Conversion.
I spoke to Russell at Syncro Nutz for a recommendation on tyres and he suggested BF Goodrich 215 75 15 At's on 15in Stock Rims.
Does anyone have any suggestions on bargains? or cheaper alternatives or partyly worn's?, so far I have been quoted £106 a piece fitted new.
I am also looking for full size mirrors - which sound from what I am reading to be rocking horse as well as wheel arch flares and lens grills,
any suggestions would be greatly received as this is starting to feel like the holy grail with keyboard cramp setting in under the research!

HI & welcome
Syncro ownership is "entertaining"
Beware of part worns, you need to keep a set of tyres on your van that are equally worn/used so you don't b****r things up.
Have a use of the "search" facility and see what people suggest about 15" wheels, the easiest option is Merc steelies. BFGs are probably the best tyre, but at a premium price, Horses for Courses & all that.....
Get to know YOUR van before you spend on it (if that's possible) and make sure the mechanics are a good sound base, then look at new mirrors, LT ones will fit - try your local breaker's or fleabay; but sort everything else first - it's (unless you're very lucky) going to cost you ......

Welcome to the mad house
Well... you dont have to fit the BFG's... there are other tyres out there, its just that the BFG's work so well... they also last well too so they are not so costly when all taken into account.. you really need to be running a matched set of 5 tyres and I doubt you will find a set of 5 matched part worns...... not a good move... You can use a smaller size also.. and do shop around, some have managed to get some good deals...
Spend the money on the tyres rather than the "not really needed" mirrors, arches (which are not cheap) and the grills... those parts are really for "show" IMHO... the tyres are what stops you "falling off" the road and having a big accident........
Syncro ownership can be costly.. there are time where you need to spend the money... and the cheap route is a false economy..

Thanks guys, great advice, decided to wait on the arch's and use the money on the tyres.
Am now concentrating on finding DJ 2.1 Inlet Manifold and Rocker Cover Gaskets which appear to be equally rocking horse,
any ideas who might still sell them?

Your best bet is German E bay. There are Tristar mirrors for sale on there at the moment. Merc wheels seem to be the cheapest but be careful of the offset. BFG are the best tyre but buy new and be sure to buy a full set of 4 - do not buy in twos.
Almost everything is available online, you just need to keep an eye out for what you need.
