when we first got the camper it was a novelty that it didnt accellerate very fast and wouldnt keep above 65 mph...it didnt take long at all to get fed up with this what with the long tail backs on hills and stuff.put the 1y in and its better...not greatly better but enough to keep up with the traffic...if you go down the petrol route i think you might be spending more than its worth to convert...an aaz would be the chioce, but im happy with the performance off the 1y

nope...you have everything you need on your old engine to fit it...all you do need really is an oil change ,filter and a new spigot bearing to go in the new engine(they are about 4 quid off mr baxter) and a new sump gasket if you dont use the one off the 1y

oh and the difference on my insurance was 30 quid....but its not gonna pop wheelies you know..its just better than what you got..and as for the 65 mph thing on my old one..my speedo is out but about 10 mph so i was prolly trotting along at 55 too
now the other thing is if you talk to ringo..he did the conersion and then converted to an aaz,but this starts to cost money as you need parts from a turbo engine to do that one

mrs p will likely put the kybosh on anything that costs too much money!! i'll be happy just to keep up with the traffic and not drop to 3rd on gentle motorway hills lol
