leaky pressure cap = blown head geaskets ?

Hi,

Just finished rebuilding my 1.9 DG WBX 1987 lump after blowing head gaskets on M27.

Anyway, the engine runs, have spent a substantial amount of time bleeding the coolant to notice that the pressure cap is now leaking....

I cant get one from JK as out of stock, so need to surce another...If I keep this topped up is it ok to use or do I run the risk of un-doing all my good work as I want to get the bus MOT'd tomorrow....

And secondly would this have caused the issue with the head gaskets in the first place, dont recall it leaking before.

Cheers.

hello,

cheers - just ordered it from brickwerks...

garage told me it was the gaskets, then got a 2nd opinion from a mate ( whos a mechanic) and then after i'd stripped them you could see they were in a bad shape..
