is there a correct way of getting around this or is it a major drama?

sorry nope!! your better off looking for wheels with a more suitable et
wheels with the offset will put strain on bearings bushes and tyres.
theres loads of wheel info on the brick-yard wheels help section

I too really fancy a set of fuchs, maybe 16 or 17s if there is such things? In this months vw-camper/bus mag there's a feature on 't2d' and a small pic of a t3 ambulance with fuchs on (no idea what size) but they look fab, anyone any suggestions please...wig

some repos may be 5 x 112 not 5x 130 and may have better ets but most were pants.

oh and quality may well be an issue, plus most places like shidland wheels

etc dont supply properly rated tyres for the vans.
beware what you spend your cash on.
post up the et before you commit

Hi all,
Not been on for a while as Mrs Soft gave birth to our No.1 son!
Saw pic in C&B of ambulance with 17" Fuchs. Was thinking of getting a set but was concerned about suitably rated tyres, to fit a Westy? Any ideas of such tyres & suppliers?
Cheers
Rob (Mr Soft)

you need to find the offset and rim width and ask the load rating of the alloy , as said earlier while they may bolt on they may not be right.
