Hello all. Just droping in for the first time on here. ive been into the scene for about 9 years and have just managed to get hold of my first syncro

Its taken about 2 n half years to agree a price and get the cash together but ive got there in the end. Its got both difflocks in but there seized up at the mo as its been stood for 2 years and only done 7k in the 4 years before that! now almost at 92000 miles and seems spot on.

I need two front outer CV joint gaiters as mine split on the way home from the MOT

Does any one know where i can get drawings for the box and front diff so i can do my diff lockers?
Cheers Will (cambs)

Hello and welcome to the nut house....
CV boots and other parts are available from Brickwerks....
difflocks... there are some good treads on here and a "Bentley" manual will help no end...
Oh, can you also fill out a bit more detail in your profile so we know what end of the country you are in...

Looks like a right old nail there, mate.
Just messing fella, Sounds good with the engine conversion. What's the plans return to former glories or just use & abuse as is? Have you progressed from the Aircooled or 2WD scene then?

If you can get over to Colsterworth on the 28th (either in itor other vehicle) would be good to meet up and you can see what these beasts will do offroad...

yes im a fen boy, imported tho born and bred in suffolk
its not a bad old dog, needs a atack with the sand blaster cause it was parked in nettals so under side got 2+ years of serface rust but no holes so its quick clean and protect underside wire the tow bar up ready for work. Its replased a diahatsu fourtrax as workhorse. am fairly experanced off road just not in that beast
Ive had all sorts of dub stuff before this, hand full of bugs including the prototype wizard windjammer. a few type 3s, couple of bays 3 t25 + all the other projects that got sold before hitting the road.
At the mo ive got the syncro on the road. A 72 1303 with factory fit goldie sun roof(sat under the same hedge for 5 year now

A 63 vauxhall victor half way thru a rover v8 conversion with jag back end. And finally a 68 bay twin slider needing lots of major work in the pipeline
Thats got to be about it from my life story of mainly Aircooled

have a look at mine, jed the spred, put mine on the internet for me is under the title "the £500 doka" if you look back a few pages on the syncro forum you should find it. it looks a little more surface rusty than mine but mine was much more battered. enjoy it they are a pain but no more tham my trusty 57 goldy rag top bug. well done and good luck with it
try and make it down to syncropendence in a few weeks

Welcome; the van looks another fine example; you'll fit right in !
Syncropendence booking form is linked from the post at the top of forum. Pre-book is certainly the preference... send a pm to Harryman (Clive) or Jenny.
