anyone fitted a roofrack to an auto sleeper hard pop top

Does anyone have experience or knowledge about the pros and cons of fitting a roofrack to an auto sleeper hard poptop. I would like to be able to take my kayak away with me without leaving my wife and kids at the side of the road! Thanks in advance.
