Hello, I am packing us all into my new T25 - 2 adults, 2 tots, 1 babe. I will have 2tots up top, and me and hubby in bed - prob with babe squeezed imbetween. However I can see we will prob be bed hopping. The only one I can guarantee will stay in one place is babe!

I am trying to workout how to add a cot to the make up!

I can't fit one between seats, as most seem to say they do on earlier forums, as I have a fixed rear facing seat.

Was considering making one up in cab area between the two seats. I still want cot bars, so hammock no good - although these only seem to be for T2's anyway. Has anyone made a cot like this before? Or does anyone else have any ingenius creations that fit the bill. Babe will prob be first to bed, so don't really want them blocking kitchen.

At the moment I want us all to be in the van, as anticipate unsettled nights and want to be close - certainly don't want van door closed. We also don't have a proper awning (yet), just our old tent pitched as close as poss!

Any suggestions please!!! Or if you have outgrown and are ready to pass on an already created solution I would be ecstatic!!

i thought it looked quite good ..depends on your van layout though

Another SUCCESS - he slept better than at home and let us use the van for drinking (in the sunset) - -oh ....and drinking......

Our mate with a full width bed has a hammock across the parcel shelf too - great fro those daytime naps little uns need

Lovin the parcel shelf bed - looked at previous threads who commented on putting your head underneath(?!) But obvious to put feet under. Unfortunately I would have to make from scratch though as no parcel shelf on my conversion.

Did you not consider putting something in the cab? I suppose curtains could be a problem.

alkers....search for cab bunk ..... there are loads of threards about it. Different people have done different stuff - you can make your own (i did) and for little ones you could make a deep, square bunk that took a matress and kept if firm and square.

ah ha. The cab bunk - I see loads. Although I do question how suitable this would be for a crawling baby. Also they look a bit sandwiched in - a bit tricky to put in and out for those night time feeds. Even trickier if it is deeper like you suggest Em - unless you have tried and tested this and can tell me different?

My seat doesn't swivel either - does this pose a problem?

We find that the parcel shelf bunk leaves the front seats and the main living area available for cooking and socialising after the baby is asleep.

We switch the speakers to the cab only - sit up front take in the view etc...

In the night the baby couldn't be more accessible for feeding and comforting as you lean forward from your bed and bring him down to yours....

As for fittings - really you need two strips of wood to support thwe shlf then make the shelf to fit.
