Hi

I want to run my laptop in the van, but think its kinda pointless running an AC adapter, via a 12v dc-240ac volt converter, is there an option to just bump up dc voltages from 12 to whatever v, and amp ?

Thinking about it, theres loads id want to replace the ac adapters for in the van, so it would ideally be adjustable

This might do it, depending on what amps you need http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=44736 I have one of these and it does the job fine for me. They've got a few variations on this sort of thing if this isn't exactly right.
