1982 calipers - £90 each... about right?

Hi, I have a 1982 watercooled Devon camper. Only had for 2weeks- and first ever, so very much a newbie. Anyway, one of the front brake calipers have gone. Its at garage, and they say they have found the part for 90pounds. Does this sound about right? Not sure if I would like to salvage 2nd hand brake parts. Seems expensive.
Also I have a few holes in the front panel from rust. 2 in the windscreen corners, and one at the bumper well. The usual places I assume. Would it be worth considering replacing the whole front panel? Or will there be too many issues with the windscreen? Can anyone give me an idea of how much a front panel would cost. Welding is so dear - and yet to find a local welder who will do private.
Thanks so much for reading this, hope you can help!
