Converted panel van windows into factory fitted windows?

Just looking on JK and was wondering if it would be possible to fit the factory seals to the non factory windows? I have the ones with a insert strip at the minute, would have thought the factory ones would fit and i prefer the look of them being recessed.

Also one more question, if i did have to fit the panel van seals does anyone know the mm gap of the van and the mm gap of the window?

As ever any help greatly appreciated!

It is not possible to do what you are asking for the simple reason of the differences between a Caravelle and a Panel van as they were produced in the factory. (one used window frames and one didn't)

Besides the glass used in Caravelles is slightly bigger than the glass used in panel van conversions.

Next time you see one on your travels, have a close look and you will see what I mean..

unless you break out the welder/grinder and start putting your own window frames in (lots of work though......)

i have a panel van and i had this crazy idea of finding two side windows with original vw glass, the silver window edges, maybe swapping the slide door out for that of an original caravelle .. is this a viable option or should i use conversion glass?
