Hi All,

I am in the process of putting an agreed value on the Camper Van. My question is how do you put an honest value on something that has taken a lot of time and money to restore.

I have counted up what I have spent from the reciepts I have kept in the three years of owning the van and it amounts to approx £2000 give or take a few pounds. This is purely on parts. In all with the purchase of the van the camper owes me about £4k. Would you put the agreed value at this or a little higher. I have done agreed value before on another classic I owned and the insurance gave me the amount they would cover..

In my oppion it would be 4k....do you think I am being to lean....

Glenn.

Agreed value or WOTS IT WORTH! or more to the point....how much would it cost to buy a replacement in the same condition.
Often the money you spend on a thing is just maintenance but in the case of a restoration when the van has been improved and not just maintained, the value will have gone up. That value has to be a reflection of what it would cost to buy a replacement in a similar condition.
