Dear all,
Having got a taste of `off-roading` recently and loved it, even though my heart was in a flutter all the time, I thought I should start getting the right kit together. It seems that one of the essentials is a pair of `waffles` to aid recovery out of mud and shi-it so I priced them up. About £70 per pair (1440cm x 35cm) plus ..... get this ... £30 delivery charge!!

Sod that for a game of solders I thought and decided to embark on making my own. My request this rainy, blowy, cold and generally dreadful afternoon is what is the best glue for sticking plastic onto plastic ..... they are both the same type of plastic btw. Naturally, the waffles need to withstand mud, "pooh" and bullets etc etc...... and of course longevity.

I wouldnt bother trying to make em.... they wont last 5 seconds...

Now there was talk of one of the chaps contacting a co about a pallet of offcuts etc... (Elvis??? IIRC)

When I am back at work I will see if we have any contact details for any suppliers... might be able to sort something...

WHat tyres ahve you got?? if road biased, then a set of snow chains might be a better option.... for emergency use of course... depending on if you can fit them without knackering yourself....
