I have heard about replacing the rubber bushes for poly something or other. I have a high top camper and am taking it in to Simon at BrickWerks to have it lowered 45mm and have my porcshe boxter alloys fitted amongst other things and want to know what if any benefits I would gain by fitting poly as opposed to standard rubber bushes. Oh yes, how many bushes are there to replace and where are they. As you may have guessed I am not mechanically minded at all, I just like a nice shiney bus!!!!!!!.

Please Help

Thanks in advance Steve

Polybushes should give you more accurate steering and sharper responses as they have less give in them than the original rubber ones.

There is an argument that says they transfer shock-loading away from where it should be (absorbed in the bush) and out into the rest of the vehicular structure.

Bear in mind when you're comparing old springs and shocks and old mounts vs brand new bushes and components that you're not comparing like with like so of course your van will feel MASSIVELY sharper, better etc etc etc
