WELL, ive got a bit of diesel coming from my injectors with the lines unscrewed, AT LAST. but it is only a dribble is this right? i smashed that black box thing on the back of the pump with a hammer, now at least there is tiny amounts of fuel dripping from the fuel lines on the top of the injectors in time with a piston stroke so while im relieved, i still aint out of the woods yet, as it isnt running( flat battery ) and will have to wait till tomorrow to mess.

Crumbs, I never knew you were a qualified diesel mechanic ;)

I think the diesel should be scooting out of the injectors with enough pressure to penetrate the skin if you got your hand in the way.

Nice one Weaselchin

I suppose there would only be a little bit of fuel dripping out, only enough to lift the injector needle of its seat and produce the spray/mist,

Horza I think Weaselchin still has the injectors screwed in the head, only the fuel lines slackened off

any further progress??

yeah the injectors are still fully tightened, they wouldnt dribble anyway because of the high pressure needed to open them, would they??? i guess

i dont know yet as i havnt got it running yet, if that solenoid is the one at the top, it clicks when 12v is applied so i assume so. i just want to get it running first though, its been sitting outside the house for 6 months. i swapped the engine over on my todd (not easy) ive never worked on a diesel so imagine my horror when i saw spurious wires hanging out everywhere.
