Do you have to cut the rear of the chassis off where the bumper mounts are? Cheers.

no , or should that read shouldn't have to ,
Both of the ones I fitted , I took the mounts off because the bumper fitted to the towbar .. if that makes any sence

Not normally, it normally slides in with the bumper mounts, you may need to change your bumper mounts if they are the closed type. Depends on the make of towbar

The problem i'm facing is that the two bolts that hold these on are rusty and deformed. I'm also not too sure about getting an angle grinder in there.

Looking at the towbar you have, just remove the bumper irons, you may need to drill the chassis legs for the new irons which are already fitted to your towbar

I think all the holes line up. Just got to work out how to get the bumper irons off.

You could grind off the bolt heads from th outside as the nuts are captive(welded) to the iron. You need to remove the irons whichever way you do it.

If you remove the bumper first there should be room to then wiggle them out.

That tow bar you have is the same as mine held by 2 bolts near rear (where your existing ones are) and third bolt further along chassis member, hole is there on yours, if I remember correctly. When I had mine out recently the bolts took some getting out winding them in and out with plenty of lube did the trick but had to tap the threads on the captive nuts, worst case grind em off and weld new. You may need to make 2 flat angled pieces of metal to support the bumper 50 X 5 X 150 mm. Bent so one length 100 and other at 50mm to the shape of bumper, 2 holes drilled, one for bolting through existing hole on bumper to new towbar and other hole at bottom edge of bumber drilled at your choice, you can do that in situe or do it with bumper off, I think they are needed to give more support to the bumper, If you need more precise measurements and pics, I could take my bumper off tommorow and let you have the info if you like
