One of the spats on my van was forceable removed yesterday and I need to stick it back on. What does one use to glue the spats on?

one may consider using a drill and some spiffing self tappers from the inside, then some pimms in the veranda :ok

I did consider some self tappers but if the same happens again then it will make a mess of the arch.

Have replaced all of mine after re-spraying the van. Most of the bolts had sheared so tryed gluing new bolts onto the spats....no good. Tried Sika Flex....glues well but needs to be clamped during drying...I found welding clamps (and alot of them) at various points around the spat best and then used self tappers from inside the arch to hold in place. You will find that without these the spat will bulge away from the arch at some point.

The air was blue on a few occasions!!!!!!!!!!!!! But well worth doing as these spats do hide a multitude of problems!!

Is spats the proper name for them? Can you still buy them new? Where?

Can you still buy them new?

Occasionally they appear on e bay in Germany. Thats where I got my set of unused ones. It took over two years and a lot of searching....
