Big mirrors Q

Hi all,

Back on line after moving house. I managed to trace an offside big leccy mirror for my Holdsworth Vision from the bay. I've been trawling for over a year now for the right side one to match my left..

Anyways, £70 latter I have a small prob. My offside mirrors for a LHD van. My vans RHD so the mirror sits at the wrong angle for me at the wheel... it's not far off when set at it's furthest setting but still I'd prefer it right.

Is it possible to change this default lock setting on the leccy mirrors..?

Cheers

I can sympathise with your situation, I recently bought a pair of Big Mirrors for BIG MONEY and have since found the n/s mirror is suited to a LHD T25/T3, perhaps I was nieve to assume they both were RHD,,

Anyway tis my problem to solve, which may help other along the way.....So you have a mirror which fits nicely and looks great but could do with angling towards you just a fraction so the mirror glass can be adjusted to suit.......

Watch this space for a suitable fix, as I am on with this project as we speak...

Cheers for the help. read the links, thats a fair bit of surgery

I'll try and find an easier way. I'm thinking of testing a blind spot stick on mirror. If that don't work i'll make a small bracket to hold it where I want...

I've got a right mismatched set of mirrors then. I've got a LHD Offside and a RHD nearside, wrong for both vans..

They look good though, and finally I don't have a spare hole on my doors.

The method I outlined in the link is quite simple. Basically you are taking off the notches which are in the wrong place and substituting them with 6mm diameter discs.

The mirrors then work like they were designed to.

Sorry but I really don't understand what's so wrong with the original ones :|
