I got a rear wiper/washer assembly , have put it on, weeks ago , to my 1986 Autohomes Kamper 1.9 DG petrol ,then today connected up a battery via choc box connectors to the two thick wires from/to the wiper motor , and it works ! Yippee .
But it will be annoying having to do this whilst driving , so could any knowledgeable person please tell me , in very simple terms , what to do to connect it to a switch of some kind ? There is a whiteish plastic connector at the fuse or relay box with the same coloured three wires ending at it , this possibly comes from the steering column area , have yet to check, and my wires from the rear emerge remarkably close to this connector ; what would happen if i stuffed the bare ends into said connector ?
The stalk is a two speed , i have the intermittent relay to fit but have yet to remove the white plastic thingy as per the EXCELLENT wiki -- but will it , i am wondering to myself , cause the rear wiper to come on ???
It does not , at the moment and as far as i know , tilt towards the windscreen ,which is the direction i should imagine is needed to fire up the requisite wires .
And as for the washer ! Gulp.

Hi Jaylo, Yes that white connector is what you are looking for as it worked fine with mine so once you remove the white plastic bit in the switch and put the relay in you should be ok. Hobopatch
