So, anyone back yet with pics and vid???
Anyone get any shots of my legg'y climbing those grass hillsides???

I must say.. I was impressed witht he traction the old girl has... ground clearance a little limited though so had to pick my line and creep a couple of areas... but for the little time I had there I though it was cracking.. enjoyed being a marshall and unsticking Clive a few times... but have to try these thing eh Clive?

Sorry I caouldnt stay longer... in fact I may as well have done as I havent spent much time at home either........

Well, Si, Lovely weekend - Great team recovery - Roger used his winch (alot) - Bit of swimming - and a f**n lot of mud .

Oh No ... is that 'Our Doka Van' ?? Hope its nothing too serious Pete; what time did your dad get home ? We were all saying that it seemed to be runnning really well !!

A lovely weekend; great camping spot on the meadow beside the river and a great turnout of good company.

The site was good fun and thankfully was fairly dry; anyone who found water found how deep and wet the clay was underneath! But some good challenging terrain whick kept us all amused.

Thanks to Doug, Clive, Jenny and all for organising yet another great do!

The DoDokas clutch gave in when John was less than half way home Sunday night... it had after all been known to be a bit weak!

Ref DoDoka. I wondered why the engine revs were getting higher and higher and the speed slower and slower up the big long hills!I pretty soon figured out why.(cooking clutch smell) It was a nice comfortable ride in the recovery vehicle but limited to 55mph.It saved me putting any fuel in the Doka,got home about 9.45pm having left site at 3.30pm.
Good weekend though and Roger provided plenty of entertainment.

Back home after a cracking weekend, thanks to everyone who came along and had fun. It was very educational this morning the rain turned the site into a skating rink, made it pretty difficult to get Dougs T4 and mine on road tyres off site, it would have been very different if it had been wet over the weekend and before hand, very tricky. NOt sure the 2wd cars/vans would have got off site without a tug or three, so next time it could be completely different.

I was totally amazed how far my car went, it still went fine with 1 front wheel totally off the ground.

Well, mine's OK, it grips but has a tendency to judder...

Pete and myself pulled out a well suctioned camper in tandem, and I was later told the Camper's engine stalled and apparently Pete's lost grip then mine pulled the lot out... well, whether true or not, my JX clutch isn't slipping!

If you mean the camper in the wooded area petes did most of that after lots of revs and a dumped clutch.

There are lots of variables with the clutches, diff ratios, tyre sizes, engine set up, driving style. The ones with 228mm clutches almost never have problems and for what little it costs to upgrade its silly not to.

which surprises me too!

But when at the front of 3 hooked up together and the whole vehicle jumps up and down off the ground with the clutch up in G gear at full throttle, it definitely isn't slipping. I rate it at about 90 BHP on a good day.

What a great weekend, thanks to all who organised and helped. It was worth the 600 mile round trip.
