She won't fill up!?

Hi, has anyone got an idea about the following issue, I cant seem to get more petrol than about a 3rd full in my tank..i was convinced it was the sender/gauge, so had the sender replaced..but thats not it...Bummer...
how many litres is a full tank anyway?...
Any ideas?? Anyone else had/has the same?? Thanks!

It sounds like an air lock ... although I'm not au fait with aircold vans full stop.
Unless of course it's all over the forecourt
BTW this should be in Techernikal

Hi we had the same problem we changed the sender unit but it did not work then someone suggested it might be the circitboard bebind the dashboard so we got a secondhand one and that did the job . Hope this is of help

Thanks for your reply Ian, i did repost in the technical, sorry about that...
Any tips on what to do with these air locks,, just fil up really slooowly?

Yeah that was going to be my next step, but it now seems, that i just cant fill up the tank..so maybe nothing to do with the gauge at all....how many liters would you say you can get in the tank?

I have the same on my AIR COOLED (toasty warm) and my wet cooled, not to sure on the volume i just run it to the top of the red
Works for me

Hi, the Haynes says that the capacity is 60 litres.

Have a look in both wheel arches , check the tank breather bottles thingies are there and aren't blocked

tank capacity is 60l, but 52 from apparently run out, iirc.........
