Today I chenged my noisy wiper motor for a nice quite one, and while I was at it thought I would sort out my squeeky mechanism.
Now when I removed the caps and bearing covers I broke one of the circlips, but I can't seem to find these on vagcat.
Any ideas why this would be?

Ok after Ebaying Circlips the all seem to have eyes on them.

I know that sounds really stupid.

Don't s'pose you've tried using Oxidised Ethanol in alcohol on your wipers before binning them have you? It's a miracle treatment for van rubber.
It's TOTALLY FREE - well, all it would cost you is a little pride when you go to collect it or simply pay a small child to do it for you.
http://encyclopedia.thefreedictionary.com/vinegar" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
For your nearest free Oxidised Ethanol in Alcohol supplier, go to KFC and pick up several sachets of what they call 'Vinegar':
http://www.kfc.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Empty one sachet onto a cloth - rub vigorously onto wiper blade and voila, shpankin' new wipers.
You've helped save the Planet from instant doom because your wiper blades wouldn't be recycled (wrong kind of rubber) and as we all are constantly told by people who insist we must believe them despite their actions, what happens to this Planet is all to do with us Humans. The bugger wouldn't be heating up, cooling down, dehydrating, bits on it melting, in orbit, inhabited, have an atmosphere unless WE recycle. Failure to recycle could lead to an instant fine and you could be banned from binning for life. The money raised from such a fine would be used for your local MPs expenses for their Chalet in the Swiss Alps, so be afraid, be very afraid!
Hope this saves you a small fortune in wipers.
