The Club 80-90 Syncronauts is run democratically by a committee of 10 people (including 4 officers). No one individual person dictates policy and neither are there any strong factions. If a decision is made, it will have been well considered and if necessary voted upon. We wrote politely to Michael Ghia, in order to leave the 'door open' and he was asked to respond privately to me to discuss this issue. However after these recent public outbursts I feel that he has now gone beyond the pale.

You vote on every motion in the house of commons then, Martin?

Spend much time reading Hansard?

Spend a lot of time in your local council chambers?

Go down to your local NHS trust for their meetings often?

There will be an election of committee members at SP this year.

Members of the Syncronauts will be welcome at this meeting, I'm sure and will have voting rights in the election of committee members.

Hilarious, I'm sure

i maybe think you should think about what you are saying , and to whom you are saying it Thomas ,how can you have an electon when half the members are not present.

no thomas i don't vote on everything. but a chance to vote on who's banning who from what event may just be an idea.

who voted you in anyway Thomas ?

Take your problem to the chairman of the committee, please.

I'm just the competition secretary.

Martin the Syncronauts were formed in order to hold the first off-road event in Wales in July 2004. Clive, Mark and Thomas were the founding members and I agreed to be the Treasurer. In order to comply with the MSA we had to draw up a constitution and as we could not physically meet to elect a committee, we asked for volunteers from the people who attended SP1.

We attempted to hold an AGM at SP2, but were unable to do so, therefore the same committee continued, with one or two new nominated committee members.

At Coney Farm in October the committee did discuss arrangements for future AGMs and we agreed that we would try to hold an 'online' AGM in July, in order to involve as many of our members as possible.

The purpose of the committee is to organise events and deal with membership issues.

i remember being asked or told about any AGM at SP2, why don't we hold an online vote that mean all members can vote not just those who manage to get to events.
or it could be done as a postal vote.

That is what we are hoping to do this year Martin. The minutes of our committee meeting are on the Syncronauts website somewhere.

well shall we get the ball rolling. as some of the members can't make it to sp3 therefore won't get a vote?

Have to say I don't think anything will happen till after the first two events of the year Martin.

Wouldn't do anygood changing the committee with 2 events being planned, might not work as I'm sure they've been putting in a lot of work for them.

I can see you've got a bee in your bonnet about this one.......

personally, I'm not that bothered about voting and alike. But each to their own.
