fenwicks cleaning products

hi all,
Thought I had posted this last night but it seems to have vanished.
I've got some surface rust appearing in some of the lower seams where the questionable paint job is cracking. I've been advised the rust will wash/rub off and I should then give the whole van a good wash, then apply a "polish compound" to give a water repellant finish, hence avoiding water gathering and further rusting.
Not sure what a polish compound is, any ideas?
Went into halfords to look at their waxes and polishes and got quite confused... So many products!
But I came across "fenwicks motorhome cleaner" which sounded great on the bumf on the back but then I guess they all do! They also do an awning cleaner which I thought could be good on the pop top canvas and also a reproofer, we found a few puddles upstairs last time it was up inthe rain so thought I'd give that a go too.
Just wondered if anyone had any experience of this brand before I go and spend my money?!
Many thanks,
Jo.
