Hi Guys,

Do the gas fittings need checking for safety every tens, and this must be done by a registered gas fitter - this is something I have been told recently just wondering if you had any similar advice, if this is the case, who do you know in the bournemouth area

thanks in advance

The problem you have is that most gas engineers are not LPG qualified so i would recommend taking it to your local caravan sales/repair centre whoes engineers should all be qualified and see if they could do it for you.

I don't think it's a legal requirement as such, but can't imagine your insurance company being happy about gas hoses that old.

Flexi hose has a limited useable life and should have a date on it. As for all the other gas pipes, fittings etc, I would think common sense dictates a regular service schedule; it's quite dangerous stuff in a confined space :D .

Like Capt Jake says, find a local caravan dealer/service centre and have it checked, better safe than sorry.

Andi :ok
