"Pressure Guard" tyre valve caps - anyone tried them?

I usually check my tyre pressure by checking that the wheels still look mostly round, and I bet I'm not the only one! Has anyone tried those valve caps which monitor the pressure? The Pressure Guard ones got a good review in Auto Express a couple of years ago.

A mate of mine had these on his Honda Fireblade when he bought it. After a few weeks of ownership and a suspected puncture, we discovered that the one of the pressure guard valve caps was leaking.
Quite ironic that they are marketed as a safety device!! Not recommended...
Check your tyre pressures when you check your oil and I'm sure you have to do that fairly regularly with a 20 year old car anyway

Echoed. Stepfather also had leaks from one of those. Don't waste your money. Pocket guage is cheap enough.
