Ok I was going to take the LT to brickwerks but what with one thing or another I can afford it this month

The LT is smoking a wee but under load ,ie big hill LARGE amount of rev's , so i'm going to change the air filter and the diesel filter (of which it has two)

I'm un sure if the 2.4 6cyl is self bleeding so do you think I should fill the new filter up with new clean diesel before fitting ? Its the same filter as what is on the 1.6's

It certainly can't hurt to brim the filter with clean diesel - I always do on my 1.9TD as I hate the idea of the injection pump running dry at any point. The 1.6 and 1.9TD is certainly self bleeding as for your model not sure but fill it up and give it a crank. :)

Just changed mine, well a couple of weeks ago, and filled mine up with diesel as recommended by Mr Baxter when I bought the filter
