Hey folks

I have a 1981 2.0ltr T3.

I got stung badly by the git I bought it from and am now trying to get it up and running - he had stripped various 'hidden' bits. Like the light boards behind the lens; the startermotor; the carbs - OK that one isn't hidden but you get my drift.

Anyway, it looks like the engine may be pretty knackered too, so my question is....

What other VW engine can I fit with relative ease?

Can any Beetle engines slot it? I ask because they are cheap on ebay or even from remanufacturers.

I am looking for the cheapest way I can get this box of bolts running!

Any advice would be great.
